If you love John Wick… You’ll definitely love “Nobody”… pun intended!
This is a story of a seemingly average family man, Hutch Mansell, who lives his life in a normal cycle. Wake up, breakfast, work, go home, dinner, sleep. Everything works like clock work until the night burglars broke into their home. He had a chance to fight back but he backed down and his son, disappointed, never looked at him the same way again. And that moment became the spark that brought back his life from the past.
Nobody is all about the “BUS” scene because this is one of the best scene and the beginning of his comeback. I wont speak more about it. It’s for you to see. The story goes on as Hutch Mansell has run in with the wrong type of people and now he has to connect with his past self to face the present threat. He’s obligated to keep his family safe.
There will be small amount of flash backs to explain his story which is good.
Bob Odenkirk is Hutch Mansell in Nobody. It might ring a loud bell since his popularity raised during the “Breaking Bad” series domination. You know him as the obscure lawyer named Saul. After that, he was given a solo slot on his own “Better Call Saul” TV series. He’s an outstanding actor, like really good.
His performance here is phenomenal. He keeps that average guy stature and still glares with butt-kicking action. I can say that the role is a total fit for Bob. You can feel every punch, every throws, every bone-breaks and every painful hit.
I wouldn’t be including any other actors here cause the whole movie is all about Bob!
The story is a mixture of “John Wick” with a touch of “Taken”. It is not new nor jaw dropping, but you don’t expect a substantial world changing story in this movie genre. You watch this prepared for violence, gore, blood, profanity and pissed off guys. The action scenes are well shot. There are no dull chapters here, keeping your ass glued on your seat. Love this movie! and I give NOBODY a
4.5 out of 5
